TRAGEDY AT KANJURUAN STADIUM
The tragedy at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, East Java, which killed hundreds of Arema or Aremania fans, became a terrible disaster for Indonesia, especially football lovers, Saturday (1/10) night. At the global level, the death toll from the Kanjuruhan Tragedy has so far become the 'big three football disasters' after the nightmares that occurred in Lima, Peru in 1964 and Ghana in 2001.
The large number of victims is suspected to have been caused by the use of eye gas in the stadium used by the authorities to disperse the crowd. The Police Version of Kanjuruhan Tragedy Death Victims The National Police Chief Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo revealed that 125 people died in the riot tragedy at Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang. The data refers to the final identification of the Catastrophe Casualty Distinguishing proof (DVI) Team and the Malang Regency and City Government Health Office. Listyo explained that the reduced number of deaths was caused by double information. The Police Headquarters DVI Team was deployed to identify hundreds of victims of the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Stadium. Previously, the Health Office of the Malang Regency and City Government stated that the death toll in the incident had reached 131 people.

Now, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy confirmed that the death toll stated by the police was 125. "The final results of the victims who have been verified by all parties, including the Police and the organizers are 448 victims," said Muhadjir after a coordination meeting at Panji Hall, Kepanjen, Malang, Monday (3/10), as quoted by detikcom. Muhadjir then explained that from the add-up to the victims, 125 people died, 302 people suffered minor injuries, and 21 people suffered serious injuries. He hopes that with his statement, there will be no more confusing information about the victims of the Kanjuruhan Malang tragedy.
